in the nighttime sky
Venus shines like a star
soon to bow out
to the light of the Sun
introducing
a new day begun
then the unseen
but a presence still there
shining her love and her light
from somewhere out there

Emotional Rhythms
Emotional Rhythms
embrace our emotions
allow them to be felt
sit hugging our knees
and rock ’til they melt
stand in one place
and stretch into the winds
feel the directions and pulling
then gather them in
move to the rhythms
let the body unfold
dance what its feeling
being expressive and bold
then return to the quiet
the place of repose
acknowledgement achieved
and the ability to let go
from a quietude within
returning to life we then go
allowing our emotional balance
to once again ebb and flow

The Awakened Series
so often it is hidden
the understanding of it all
and then all of a sudden
we listen and hear the call
the call to a newness
letting go of what we held
once precious and important
until the heart-ache was felt
so many patterns
and habits of the past
appearing now daily to recognize and to cast
to cast out of our beingness
giving space and a freeingness
a series of awakenings
spacious and new
attracting in
all we want to do
all we want to be
happy and free
