the code for the new

by the layers that grow
they are never the same
like an onion that’s halved
as it grew and it grew
we see circles that expanded
readying for the new
and if nurtured and loved
at some point in time
in the very centre
a new shoot will climb
in the garden we tend
it will flower and sprout
and once matured
will send new seeds all about
seeds encoded to grow
all that we know
for creating our new world
