Truth or Pretend
so i am going to ask you my friend
because love cannot end
what is our reality?
living our truth or some pretend?
when one feels overwhelmed or nervous
what signals do these send
something has changed
it is hard to comprehend
when allowing another’s journey
we stand by with love and hope
we can offer a hand to lend
but it is not our place to mend
as we feel into our hearts
and knowing the old now must depart
now that we are free
who is it we choose to be?

Spring
the chorus of frogs
sing day and night
spring has arrived
its timing just right
the budding of branches
the bulbs bursting forth
a dormancy awakened
into such beauty it is morphed
the warmth of spring sunshine
the lengthening of days
welcoming us into nature
everywhere that we gaze
