created by the light
yet trailing behind
our shadow is our companion
as we journey thru time
when turned away from the light
that is when we will see
this our shadow companion
…now let’s talk and let’s see
why are you lurking…?
ah, now we see
if we shine our light behind us too
you will disappear
because you’ll have nothing to do

Loving Kindness
loving kindness is a natural state
an expression of goodness, an open gate
allowing the passage of time to come and go
allowing the variables to be in the flow
with acceptance, tolerance
and compassion

Water Time
she calls us to listen
to submerge in her depths
to observe her reflections
to taste her salty breath
the peace and the motion
the rhythm of waves
the lure to then travel
in leisurely ways
the waters envelop
the Earth like a skin
let us pause, let us honour
where life on Earth did begin
gifted time we give gratitude
to this precious resource
ours to protect and to cherish
this our life-giving source
