The Owl on the Escalator
the owl on the escalator
step by step the incubator
wisdom held, wisdom known
wisdom with each step has grown
the owl is the bird of night
and watches all with inner sight
watching and assimilating
taking in and incubating
readying now to lay an egg
soon to hatch at the dawning stage
as the sense that time is escalating
the owl herself is participating
to birth the new
to be aware
step by step

breathe into your becoming specifically now
let go of the entanglements to the physical, allow
allow all to be
and with the inner eye see what now is beckoning
simple and free
is it a vision?
is it a word?
is it a remembrance or something absurd?
is it undefinable?
has it a sound?
can it be felt
thru the feet from the ground?
breathe into the becoming
it is starting to stir
awareness of the newness is beginning to occur
let go of time
to be the present sense
absorb and receive
the gifts that are sent
embody the more
curious and still
breathe into your becoming
you are starting to fill

Earth Day
Heart of the Heavens
Heart of the Earth
sacred alignment
for all that was birthed
and as we reside here
on this planet of such beauty
may we enhance and honour
Earth’s hosting of diversity
life forms so diverse
landscapes that are breath-taking
seasons that change the setting
like a newly layered painting
may we walk on this Earth
bare foot whenever possible
may we celebrate Earth Day
every day as hospitable
hospitable she has been
yet we have unbalanced
the delicate harmonizing
of her orchestrated sun dance
may all life forms unite
and give thanks for creation
and may humans awaken
with joyful elation
to be, to be aware
of the gifts we are given
to live consciously on Earth
conscious of our every decision
and love
and honour
dear Earth
