Let Us Design a Beautiful Day

as we awaken
a candle is lit
we focus on the light
thoughts focused not split

the silence, the stillness
invites into the day
opening into creation
and into play

again there’s ringing,  a singing
felt by the ears
the voices of creation
whispering seers

the day’s a blank slate
ours to explore
to design our becoming
with love and the more

the more from our sharing
of what’s working today
then from this foundation
building a way

with ingenious interlocking
of pieces, moving parts
co-create an artist’s heaven
engineered to restart

let us restart every day
with a newly created design
a beautiful day
that’s here to refine

Hear My Vote

hear my vote
it is a child’s plea
hear my voice, it’s calling
please listen to me!

you brought me into being
into your world of love and dreams
and now it’s time to see me
as the future and the means

vote for what is real
for where we are right now
being informed by reality
listen, then know how

listen to your hearts
they always show us the way
then vote for those with passion
to transform, connect and stay

stay in the state where
nature is preserved
where natural balance results
from what is conserved

i don’t need the abundance
of more material things
i want a loving world
from what togetherness brings

what leadership is there
with collaborative design?
who believes that together
all solutions we can find?

i know they are out there
their voices have been hushed
seek deeply this alternative
before my world is mushed

A Mountain to Climb

A Mountain to Climb

we stand around the periphery
of a mountain to climb
there are many pathways to get there
we don’t have to stand in line

there feels a sense of urgency
to climb to the peak
a desire, a pull, a knowingness
a common goal that we seek

we view this mountain differently
a perspective from where we stand
the path we choose to climb it
depends on the lay of the land

we’ve come prepared with all we need
to climb up to the peak
we know it’s there, shrouded in myst
the very thing we seek

even if we cannot see it
we know we must climb up
and any obstacles along the way
will be overcome
by giving others a hand up

encouraged by the distance climbed
we’ll sense when we’re almost there
and once we’re there it will be clear to see
the view we sought is who we be
a view held inside for us to bare
and from this place, this we share

our expansive view
our inner peace
a love that encompasses all
a recognition we’re all the same
in seeking to answer this sacred call
