hollowed out like a pumpkin
just the shell remains
readied, a container
as life is reframed
perhaps start with a candle
lit from within
with warmth and with radiance
it’s a place to begin
and as the breath that we breathe
the out and the in
we radiate our love
then receive, to within
no longer without
